The MT110-IIR20-Fio from AA Opto Electronic is a TeO2 Acousto-Optic (AO) Modulator that operates at a wavelength of 1290 - 1650 nm. It has a frequency shift of ±110 MHz and a VSWR of up to 1.20:1. This fiber-coupled modulator has a rise/fall time of 20 ns and an insertion loss of 3.5 - 4 dB. It has a modulation bandwidth of 24 MHz and a static extinction ratio of 45 - 50 dB. This linearly polarized AO modulator has analog modulation bandwidth of 24 MHz (at -3dB) and can handle up to 2.5 W of RF power. It consumes maximum input laser power of 0.5 W or 5 W (CW) and has an impedance of 50 Ohms.

The MT110-IIR20-Fio supports SMF28, PM1550, or PM1300 fiber type with HYTREL 900 µm or 3 mm PVC or 3 mm stainless steel jacket. This pigtailed AO modulator is compatible with FC/APC or Super FC/PC fiber connectors. It is available in an IN PRO 334 package that measures 89 x 46.6 x 32.5 mm and has an SMA connector. This AOM is ideal for intensity modulation, fixed or variable frequency shifting, and pulse-picking applications.
