The LUX1310 from Luxima Technology is a 1.3 Megapixel CMOS Image Sensor that has a resolution of 1280 (H) × 1024 (V). It has a global shutter that delivers a frame rate of up to 1,070 fps (at 1280 x 1024 pixels), 4,168 fps (at 640 x 512 pixels), 8,300 fps (at 256 x 256 pixels), and up to 1,000,000 fps (at 1280 x 1 pixels). This CMOS image sensor has a 2/3 inch optical format with a 6.6 μm pixel pitch. It has a full well charge of 17,000 e- and a read noise of 25 e-. This CMOS digital sensor has a responsivity of 9.6 V/Lux-s (at 525 nm) and a conversion gain of 73 uV/e-.
The LUX1310 has a dynamic range of 56.7 dB with a dual-slope and triple-slope response. This CMOS image sensor has 2 × 2 binning and windowing up to 8 simultaneous supported regions of interest. It has a 12-bit ADC converter and 1x - 16x analog gain options. This image sensor has a clock rate of 25 MHz - 90 MHz (at 267 fps) and the output can be taken out from 8 Low-voltage differential signaling (LVDS) ports, 4 LVDS, 2 LVDS ports (Multiplex Mode) delivering 300 Mbps per port (at 25 MHz) – 1,080 Mbps per port (at 90 MHz).
The LUX1310 requires a DC voltage of 3.3 V, 1.8 V (Analog) & 1.8 V (Digital) and consumes 2 W of power (at 1,070 fps full resolution). This CMOS digital sensor supports color RGB or monochrome filters. It is available in a 88 ceramic LCC package that measures 16.9 mm x 16.9 mm and is ideal for barcode scanning, sports camera, motion analysis, automation, dental scanning, industrial and biomedical applications.
