The LDP-AV 16N45-40 from PicoLAS is a Laser Diode Driver that produces an output current of 16 x 40 A (each channel) or 1 x 640 A (flash). It has a fixed pulse duration of 4.5 ns and a repetition rate from single shot to 100 kHz. This 16-channel high-side driver has a trigger input of +5 V at 50 Ohms, requires a supply voltage of +5 V, and consumes 0.05 A of current. It is compatible with a wide array of laser diodes or emitters with similar characteristics. This laser diode driver is available in a package that measures 40 × 24 mm and is ideal for LiDAR, ignition, measurements, range finding, and biochemistry applications.
