The YLS-U Series from IPG Photonics are a Ytterbium Fiber Lasers that operate at 1074 nm. They deliver up to 10 kW of tunable power. These lasers are available in a super-compact hermetic package with a High Peak Power (HPP) option enabling faster and cleaner piercings, better quality for fine cutting, and dense part nesting.

This series has been developed specifically for applications where laser system size is critical. YLS-U lasers can be easily integrated within cutting machines and feature an internal dehumidifier that enables the lasers to be used in the harshest of production environments. They require an AC supply of 400-460 V and are ideal for applications like stainless and mild steel cutting, welding, 2D/3D thin and thick cutting, and processing copper, brass and aluminum.
