The PHOENIX 1200 from Luna Innovations is a C-band Tunable Laser Module that operates from 1515 to 1565 nm. It delivers an optical output power from 8 to 10 mW with an accuracy of 5%. The miniaturized cavity laser module has a spectral linewidth of 1.5 MHz and a tuning rate from 1 to 100 nm/s. It has an integrated wavemeter that provides sub-picometer accuracy for smooth, linear scans at narrow linewidths with low noise. The laser can be externally triggered and has two optical detectors and data acquisition channels for monitoring wavelength and power. It consists of a circuit that offers low noise and high linear swept performance for a variety of fiber optic tests, measurement, and sensing applications.
The laser is available in a compact module that measures 23.5 x 12.0 x 4.5 cm with SM FC/APC optical connectors and BNC/USB interfaces. It is suitable for OFDR systems, DWDM component spectrum analysis, heterodyne measurements, Bragg grating distributed sensing, and near-IR spectroscopy applications.
