The DRL lrr from Quantel laser by LUMIBIRD is an IR/Green/UV Flashlamp Pumped Solid State Nd:YAG Laser that operates at wavelengths of 1064, 532 and 355 nm. It provides pulsed energy of 150-800 mJ with a pulse width of less than 15 ns and energy stability better than 3% rms. This horizontally/vertically polarized laser has a repetition rate of 10-30 Hz and produces a beam that is less than 10 mm in diameter with a divergence of less than 3-6 mrad. It requires an AC supply of 200-240 V and can be controlled via an RS-232 interface.
The DRL lrr is based on 2 YAG rods pumped by 1 flash lamp each. This design enables a broad range of pulse energy and repetition rate combinations. Its frequency range can be extended by the recombination of 2 laser heads. This allows to effectively double the repetition rate while keeping the same output energy as a single DRL laser. This laser has multimode resonators and supports quick umbilical disconnects for safety. It is available in a compact laser head module that measures 94 x 432 x 160 mm and has water-to-water or water-to-air type cooling.
