The Stradus 405-250 from Vortran Laser Technology is a Violet Diode Laser Module that operates at a wavelength of 405 nm. It delivers an output power of 250 mW and has a power stability of less than 10 % & wavelength accuracy of ± 5 nm. This laser produces a beam of diameter 1.4 mm and has a small beam diameter of 1 mm. It has a beam circularity above 90% and beam alignment of up to 5 mrad. This vertically polarized laser has TEM00 beam spatial mode with a beam quality factor (M2) of less than 1.25 and polarization extinction ratio of greater than 100:1. It has a beam centration below 0.5 mm and beam pointing stability of up to 5 µrad/°C.
The Stradus 405-250 has an RMS noise of 0.1 % and a full-off infinite modulation depth. It has a digital modulation of 200 MHz with a rise time below 2 ns and an analog modulation of 500 kHz with a rise time of less than 0.7 µs. This Class IIIb laser has class 4 ESD protection and is EU & RoHS compliant. It can be controlled via mini-USB and RS-232 interfaces with GUI. This laser requires a DC supply voltage of 12 V (laser head), an AC supply voltage of 90 V - 250 V (control box), and consumes a current below 1.5 A. It is available in a sealed optical cavity that measures 100 mm x 45.11 mm x 40 mm and is ideal for medical, biomedical, and industrial applications.
