The SFG Classic from Ekspla is a Sum Frequency Generation (SFG) Vibrational Spectrometer that has a spectral range from 1000 to 4300 cm-1. It has a spectral resolution of up to 6 cm-1 and visible beam wavelength of 532 nm & an optional wavelength of 1064 nm. This scanning spectrometer is linearly polarized and supports tunable incidence angles of up to 60° (VIS) & up to 55° (IR). It has a PG501-DFG1P pump Nd:YAG laser that is optimized to pump PG with a pulse duration of 29 ps & pulse repetition rate of 50 Hz. This spectrometer is surface-specific and selective to absorbed species. It is sensitive to a submonolayer of molecules and supports all interfaces accessible to light.
The SFG Classic spectrometer has a multichannel beam delivery unit and picosecond optical parametric generator. It also has a monochromator, PMT-based signal detectors, and data acquisition system. This spectrometer is available in a package that measures 2500 x 1200 mm and is ideal for the investigation of surfaces and interfaces of solids, liquids, polymers, biological membranes & other systems, studies of surface structure, chemical composition & molecular orientation, remote sensing in hostile environments, investigation of surface reactions under real atmosphere, catalysis, surface dynamics and studies of epitaxial growth, electrochemistry, material, and environmental problems.
