The HM904-5 from US-Lasers, Inc. is an AlGaInP Infrared Laser Diode that operates at a wavelength of 904 nm. It delivers a continuous wave output power of 5 mW and has a slope efficiency of 0.5 mW/mA. This single-mode multi-quantum well laser diode has a beam divergence of 10 degrees (horizontal far-field) and 31 degrees (vertical far-field). It has a rise time of 1 ns, fall time of 2 ns, and reverse voltage of 2 V. This OEM laser diode has an astigmatism of 11 µm and a median time to failure (MTTF) of 3000 - 5000 hrs. It has an Index Guided MQW structure with a built-in photodiode. This laser diode requires a threshold current of 20 mA, a DC voltage of 2.4 V, and consumes 25 mA of current. It is available in a 5.6 mm standard package with an emitter size of 1 x 4 microns.
